Snoop Dogg Wants To Adopt Dog Named Snoop Dogg

You know what heaven is? Heaven is when every dog has a home, and we wish that dream for every dog and furbaby in the universe.
It makes our hearts break thinking about abandoned animals who suffer from being denied the love and comforts they were originally promised. It makes us cringe at the thought of homeless furbabies on the street trying to keep warm during the winter or avoid starvation.
Bare with us as we deliver the cringe story with a happy ending.
In the mid-December just days before Christmas on the streets of Staffordshire, England, a male bull terrier was left to fend for himself after being abandoned by his owner. The surveillance footage captured is just horrible. The male ex-owner tosses what appears to be a basket and makes a run for his car as the bull terrier chases after, wagging his tail. Unsuccessful in getting into the car with who he thought was his human, the dog goes to the driver’s side and is jumping up at the window trying to get to the man. The man eventually drives off in his car and the dog chases after.
The video can be seen here, but it’s just…too much to deal with so we hope that description of it suffices.
Hopefully the man is identified and outed for neglect and abandonment, but in the meantime, we’re going to put him off to the side an focus on the star of this show: Snoop.
Snoop Dogg the rapper? Well, yes and no.
Tweeted by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), “Snoop was discovered by a passerby after being abandoned by the roadside, and is recovering in our care. He’s a super sweet boy who loves being around people, and as he’s not yet available for rehoming, he’s been enjoying some scrumptious snuggles with our animal centre staff.”
That’s right.
The abandoned bull terrier is named Snoop after Snoop Dogg. After the news circulated about the heartbreaking story of Snoop left to fend for himself, the dog became a celebrity and caught the attention of rapper Snoop Dogg who saw the surveillance footage of the abandonment and was crushed.
“It is heartbreaking,” Snoop Dogg told The Daily Star. “There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop. If he really needed a home then he has one with us. But I don’t think there is going to be any shortage of loving homes after all the exposure he has got.”
It’s true. Despite how awesome it is that Snoop Dogg offered to rehome the bull terrier, other personalities such as BBC journalist Andrew Neil have made the offer as well. From what we can see, Snoop the dog is currently living in private kennels getting a lot of love and attention while the abandonment is being investigated.
Rachel Butler, the RSPCA member who posted the video that went viral shared, “We have had scores of people wanting to rehome him so we are certain he will not be waiting long for a new home.”
We wish Snoop the dog the best and can’t wait to hear more on the rehoming process! You deserve the best.
