When measuring the girth of your dog’s chest, you’ll want to measure around the thickest part of the chest.
The best way to measure is to use a soft measuring tape.
The ones made from metal, like a classic measuring tape from a hardware store, are less ideal. If you must use one of these,
make sure it’s very snug to the dog’s body when measuring and subtract 1 inch off the final measurement.
The reason for this is because these types of measuring tapes tend to get kinks, which enlarges the true measurement slightly.
If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend you GO UP A SIZE.
