How to Put on the Pug Life Harness
The Pug Life Harness is super easy to adjust and put on your dog, just follow the steps below and in the video:
1. Take the reflective front velcro piece and bring it in to the loop as shown in the video. You can make the chest piece smaller OR bigger by the location of where you stick the velcro together.
(IF the chest part is still too big, (this sometimes happens with the very slender / skinny dogs) You can cut the velcro piece to make it fit. However please note that once you cut the harness you cannot return or exchange it. )
2. Adjust the belly piece so that when it is on your dog , it's not too tight or too loose (or they may slip out of it). The perfect adjustment is that it's not loose and you can still slide two fingers between the strap and their bellow.
3. Once it's adjusted, from then on it's a simple over the head and buckle the strap to get it on .
4. Make sure to periodically check the size as you may need to adjust again if your dog gains or loses weight or gets a haircut.
This harness works great with our seatbelt, you can use either ring to clip it on to the seatbelt so that they don't move around in the car.

Just received our order and these harnesses are very well made and seem very sturdy and durable😁 I bought them for our petite,lean,2yr.old female Great Dane and for our 8mo.old Cane Corso male who is very long and very solid at 100lbs. Bought size XL for both dogs, and though their body types vary greatly, the harnesses adjusted to fit each dog perfectly and they look great!👍Haven’t taken for walk yet to try out any pulling issues but so far I’m impressed with the purchase. Thank you Pug Life
Got harness yesterday. Husband total skeptic. I thought if my 5 year old, 30 pound dog kept his pulling up like he has -he was going to choke the life out of himself; I would end up needing shoulder surgery. Went on walk today and two houses into walk husband turns around to see where I am – ’cause my dog walks me, not the other way around! My husband could NOT believe the harness worked. the whole half hour he kept looking at us as if to say, "Who IS that dog?! Thank you!!!
I love this harness. I have not been a harness user in the past because they have always been difficult to get on/off, the dogs managed to chew through them (my fault), or could slip out of them. But, one dog came into the doggie daycare where I work with a Pug Life harness and I thought I would give it a try. I purchased one several months ago for my elderly dog, she was not a fan of the “over the head” dressing, so she remained using her collar until the day she passed. I now have 2 new dogs, both about a year old with zero manners or training (we’re working on that). One dog is a similar size to the one that passed, so she inherited the original harness and loves it. She sits and lets me put it on her head without issue. So, I decided to order a new one for the smaller dog (she’s a bichon or bichon mix). Her harness came today and it was a little smaller than I anticipated, but it actually seems to fit fairly well (maybe she won’t slide out of it). My favorite part of the harness (aside from it’s ease of use) is the handle. With the lack of manners and training, neither is always good on a leash. They like to play a LOT, so when it becomes more play and less walk, it is very easy to reach down and pick one up by the handle until the craziness settles down. So, I love the harness, it is well built, sturdy, easy to use, has excellent features, and is easily adjustable to fit dogs. Thanks!
Now, if only the Pug Life Harness could help me with house training!
Received our Pug Life harness today. It is easy to fit and putting it on my Corgi mix is a snap. My pup was pretty good on walks didn’t pull all of the time. With the Pug Life harness she didn’t pull at all, but, did have a tendency to want to move over under my feet. We will work on that. Thank you great product.
Just rec’d mine today…They did go on fairly easy…once one, we went for a walk around the pasture…at first, they pulled (because they were so excited) but after a few redirection moments…they had a great time.
Theses are very well made and very sturdy. I was a little scared the Velcro would come undone, but it did not..I would highly, highly recommend them. Going to order two more for my Cockers. If my big strong Goldens can’t break loose…neither will my littles
